Young Adults Bible Study

Friday at 5:30 pm

Men's Group

This is a comprehensive walk through of the Word of God. This group comes together, not only to hear the Word, but to talk through it with each other and they apply it in tangible ways in their lives. It is a great area and opportunity for men to come together and glean from one another which greatly helps in our spiritual growth and these are brothers in Christ who lift one another up.

Women's Group

This is a wonderful opportunity to come into a group of like minded women and draw close to God.

Youth Group

We would like to introduce Jonathan Spencer as our new full-time Youth pastor. Jonathan felt the call into Ministry and after much prayer he and his family have taken the step of faith in answering this call here at First Church of God and in this community full time. Jonathan has 20 years experience in the construction industry and 5+ years experience in the environment & geotechnical industry as well. Jonathan’s hobbies including hunting…ducks, geese, deer…also fishing and sports. But most importantly he has a heart for these young people as they grow and go out into this world. We are excited to see what God does through Jonathan in the years ahead. The youth meet every Sunday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-7pm. Hope to see you then! God bless!

Junior Church

Our Junior church is set up to give kids in the age range from 4-12 an opportunity to hear the gospel message in fun and exciting ways. We use many resources such as videos and crafts, that go along with a Biblical curriculum to reach these kiddos. The teachers are very interactive with the students as they bring the life saving message of Jesus to light. Junior church runs during the worship service, so it gives the kids a chance to understand a message on their level as the parents are able to focus on the message from the pulpit.

Other Ministries & Classes

Hebrews 10:23-25 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”

Adult Sunday School

This class is led by Steve Anderton who has a heart for God’s Word and for people. This is a place where there is a great opportunity to fellowship through God’s Word which allows you to prepare your heart for the worship service.

Adult Discipleship Class

This class meets Sunday mornings before service and is going through the curriculum “Growing Strong in God’s Family” which is based on Colossians 2:7. It is a great study to not only learn, which is one aspect of growth, but to draw closer in relationship to Jesus as the curriculum makes us examine ourselves.

Kids

We are blessed to have enough help to be able to have classes for kids of all ages on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights and Wednesday nights! There are a variety of teachings going on for kiddos from infant up to 12 years (or 6th grade). So, please, if you would like to attend any of our classes, bring the kiddos as well!

Ministries

Prayer Blanket Ministry

The Lord led Sally McCormick to begin this ministry within this congregation. It is found and based on Acts 19:12, “so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out”. We understand that it wasn’t Paul who had the power spoken of here, but the Holy Spirit of God working. So, we anoint, pray over and send blankets to those in need for a variety of reasons, and always Holy Spirit led.

Missions Ministry

This team has been founded and funded by God. We look to use the funds that He provides us with, through this team, to help provide for many different missionaries, local and abroad, and to support children in lands where they can’t get the supplies needed for their lives.
